About Sexologist Vixenne

  • In October 2013, Victoria received her Doctorate in Human Sexuality (DHS) from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (IASHS) in San Francisco.
  • She completed her Sexological Bodywork training at IASHS in June 2013.
  • Victoria has attended two SARs (Sexual Attitude Restructuring), one as participant and another as small group facilitator.
  • Victoria earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Human Sexuality from California State University-Northridge in the Spring of 2010.
  • As of the Spring semester in 2013, Victoria started working with the Center for Positive Sexuality as a panelist, educating college and university students about alternative sexualities such as kink, BDSM, non-monogamy, and sex work.
  • Victoria has been a part of the Los Angeles Sexologist Associates since the Fall of 2011.
  • She has held a  student membership in the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality from 2012.
  • She is currently a member of The Community Academic Consortium for Research on Alternative Sexualities (CARAS).

Victoria believes that comprehensive, accurate, sex-positive information is crucial to a healthy life and to making informed decisions for your own sexual and reproductive health. She hopes to help break through the shame and guilt that have been associated with sexuality.

The purpose of this blog is to bring the sex-positive message out to as many people as possible. Victoria’s focuses are on consent, communication, open relationships as well as BDSM and kink.
